Coors Golf Spot

One of the nicest compliments you can get as a storyboard artist is to see the finished commercial shot almost exactly as you have boarded it up. For this spot I just got the usual script brief. No thumbnails from the AD, (that's practically extinct these days.) This AD/writer is fun to work for as he kind of gives you a minimal script and lets you go to it.

Here are my working linears:

And the final colours:

And now the actual spot:

  1. Very nice work, Stuart....as usual. I would agree there is no better compliment than when the finished commercial is, shot for shot, a direct lift from the board. And at the same time you know there's a pissed off director out there who has lost his creative control cause the agency/client has told him "Just follow the board. It tested really well!"

  3. Now that's a really close finished production there--! Really like the vibrant hues and movement in the final colors.

  4. That was a great example, Stuart. The color board was nicely designed, good crisp coloring too.
